Anyway, I'm just writing just for the heck of making a historical post. Haha. So I haven't gotten anything in mind but since it's what they call "love" month, I've decided to squish some mushy posts and whoever said that singles have no right to counsel on dating and relationships is nonsensical in any way.
Let go and let God. At some point in our lives, we get hurt and scared. It could probably be traces of pain or sorrow, frustrations, and regrets that seem to overshadow and bring you shattering to the dust and your heart breaking into tiny little pieces. And sometimes one would feel that nothing/nobody can fill the spaces of such tragic loss. It's normal. So, cry it all out. When you're sobbing from the depths of your being, try praying. Do not underestimate the power of prayer cause it works wonders. Then, curl all those negative emotions into a fuzzy furl ball and when you're ready, throw it hard out of the window!!! You can start doing anything you wish that will help you heal. May it be travelling alone, going out with friends, or rediscovering yourself. It's alright to be lost like a nomad once, but remember, you are loved dear friend, loved unconditionally like no one else by a Supreme Being so cling unto Him. He knows that even the worst things that can happen to you have a purpose in His grand design.
Live a life full of love and let love find you. I've been watching a stream of romantic comedies and chick flicks this month and from every movie, there's basically something significant you get from it. Those characters in the movies just won't give up, at least, one would always be strong enough to fight for it. Remember how our Savior never gave up on any of us. Never give up on love. It may be romantic love, or love shared between family and friends or the passion that you have for work or whatever you're doing, continue that fire-brimming love within you. For some who haven't found that flame yet, ignite it. We are God's children and somehow we've inherited the kind of love that He has. The love that heals, inspires and changes. And because of that, see what good things it has done to the world. Mourn with a friend or help someone in need, love will kindle. Cliche has it, love is best when it's shared. This is the best time to prepare! Be the kind of person you want your partner to be and once ready, unnoticeably, love will surprise you!
Choose your love. Love your choice. That admonition is from Thomas S. Monson, a very influential man of our days. To some, they have too many options which they can choose from and others, it's sad to hear the truth that there's barely no one to choose from but think again from what I've written above, love will find you surprisingly. Love's good when it's the right person, at the right time and at the right circumstance. When one of the three is missing, start reconsidering things and don't forget, I cautioned you that troubles may lie ahead. And if you're finally in a happy relationship, you're blessed and lucky in love! Cherish it. Every moment counts. Love like there's no tomorrow. But, no one's perfect. Your partner's definitely an egg that has a lot of cracks on it but despite that, we are reminded to keep loving our choice despite the flaws. Acceptance is the key. Love not only during the good days, but also during the bad times or when you don't "feel" like it. Work it out, dear. Be committed in love like there should never be another option and perhaps, everyday will turn out into Valentine's Day.
There's a sure cure when God is the Healer. His promises are sure. Hearts heal and tadaaahhh, happy hearts!!!
Guess I've said a lot, I wasn't able to see that though. Heehee. Did you have a fabulous February? I hope you did! :) Here's a candid photo of me from Marianne Alcantara taken at Sto. NiƱo Basilica this month.
Love is the very essence of life. It is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Yet it is not only found at the end of the rainbow.
Love is at the beginning also, and from it springs the beauty that arches across the sky on a stormy day.
Love, like faith, is a gift from God. It is also the most enduring and most powerful virtue.
