SWEET LIFE

Hello everyone! Guess who's back after a while. :) It's a brand new year and totally a new chapter of my life and I still want to keep in touch through blogging so I'm going to make this work somehow.

2015 was unexpectedly such an amazing year for me from coming home from my mission (click link to check more of my HK mission adventures), from being engaged and getting married in the temple, moving into a new city and learning a new dialect, getting to know my new family, pursuing again a career with my degree, loving being a wife, and getting pregnant!!!  I didn't expect that it would turn out this way and I sometimes still think that it's crazy but for sure, it all happened for a reason in His perfect timing.

So I wanted to share some of our prenup photos... We didn't bother to even have one because we were so busy and were rushing with wedding preps (can you believe we just had a month of preparation?) so we ended up with a few simple but cute photos taken by my sister, Monica Posadas and my brother's girlfriend, Keshia Lim. Gracias!

Our photos are just a reflection of some things we like doing as a couple 1. Eating (pigging out indeed) 2. Exploring the simple things life has to offer through learning 3. Enjoying great (and sometimes senseless) conversations and just lauhing our hearts out! Not too much cheese because I'm not good with PDA. :p

Yup, that's me and my husband, Alvin (who we fondly call Abbie). I love this guy so much! He is a such a stellar and this is our story~

XO,
Airi

Crazy Cheerful Cool

Sorry for this overdue post. I should have blogged about my brother's birthday, Ayan, last month. Apart from my demanding work schedule, I'm glad and thankful to still have time for my most favorite people in the world, my family. :) Yes, I'd be even more willing to burn roads and bridges just to be with them tra la la~ For the nth time, we dined out at mom's all time fave Thai restaurant, Lemon Grass. Fascinating how your parents can influence you until it becomes your personal fave also! If you're looking for some oriental, mouth-watering dishes, then you should visit Lemon Grass.

Here's where we got our craziness, Daddy! We all agreed that he's just the best! I would also like to apologize for not being able to blog during Father's Day. It went well nicely and we even surprised Dad. :)
Ayan brought her girlfriend, Louise. I finally met 'the Louise' they're talking about. Definitely this isn't the last time I'd see her!
Hi baby Aj! :)

For desserts, we stopped by Chocolatier~ Talk about sinful chocolate and our guilty pleasures.
Now, who's ready for some inner insanity? Hey Monica, you look so cool. Hahaha.
The before and after looks of Ayan and Louise!
Laura was so kj to join us do that but we forced her and voila, she even had the funniest smile. Laugh trip :)))))

The birthday boy with his chocolate-stained two front teeth :)
Boy, I can't believe he's 19. He's really 19 now! My little siblings aren't that "little" anymore. Cheers to a good life ahead of you, bro. You always have our backs. :)

And here's to some random outfit post. It's not everyday that I get to wear decent clothes that would make me look like a mature, sophisticated woman (cause I'm laid back and cool and would prefer wearing lazy clothes! hahaha!) Since Forever21 landed the Philippines, every girl wished it was their closet except me. I definitely agree that clothes there are fashionable yet affordable and there are so many to choose from but every time I go there, I'm good for two rounds and still empty-handed and confused (especially if you don't know what you're getting at all) so I'd rather shop at a tiny store where there's enough mind boggling and a lesser probability that you'd have the same clothes.
Necklace & Kimono Top: Forever21 | Bag: VS | Shoes: Mendrez |

I love the vivacity of this necklace. This necklace has been over used. I just can't get enough of how Turquoise, my birth stone, can brighten any outfit.
The opaque, blue-to-green mineral clearly makes it known it's from the cupprous family! Scientifically speaking aside, its pastel shade have endeared it to many of its great antiquity like the aztecs of old.
So here's to an entry with a stream of photos! Till next time! :)

Traipse in a Damsel's Mind

Women of the world, we may be indirectly descendants of Eve, but like her, we are bound to a such weakness of alluring enticement-- being enticed and the ability to entice.

Until now, I don't know why some girls can't just have enough clothes, bags, pairs of shoes, and sets of make-up. My family and workmates definitely know how kuripot I am but it's hard to resist when I see that four letter word all in caps, S-A-L-E!!! I'd just love to succumb in that word and free myself from stress but I'm doing my best to withstand the need for retail therapy. Not healthy for the pocket. Admittedly guilty, it sometimes makes me feel good when I've just had a bad day but girls, will always be girls, and we ought to have a delightful time and apart from that, my love for pampering! Smooth skin, sweet scent, pretty nails, and the whole list goes on... It just makes me feel like I'm wrapped in a bubble of pretty gumballs and in soft and scented flowers! I never thought I'd even have a growing stock of lip smackers in a variety of pink hues. I never dreamed of being Miss Vanity and if people see me that way, boy, you're wrong. There's more than meets the eye. Just like for the mainstream-- I want to freely express my thoughts in a blog not for fame but for the journalistic aspect of blogging yoooo.

Dyed my hair black all by myself two weeks ago. Didn't like it at first, it was harsh and edgy. My hair was blue-black-- think of Veronica from that Archie comic.

It’s been a long stretch of a week at work and to update you with my life, things have gone by unassumingly… good. I definitely know my extended absence in blogging wouldn’t make a drastic change in the online world so let silence befall, mandated by its master. Life transpired once again.

They say pressure makes diamonds. And that gave me a stir of thought, but I’d like to think that one should not live life by pressure but, by priorities. There’s pressure all around us. There are countless myths that blind us into a fantasy mindset. There are lots of you gotta be this, gotta be that, gotta get that, and gotta’ve been there. I thought of the pressure from work and in one perspective, it does push you off your limits and make you a better one but what if, you’ve been working for long hours, at the end of the day, knowing that you’ve achieved a lot and have numerous paychecks, does that make you happy? Not for long, sweetie. Your value shouldn’t be based on finances and how much you own, nor by the number of people you know and of course, it shouldn’t be based on appearance. All these things die quickly. Think about yourself and the relationships you have with people, and with God. How is it? How much time and effort do you put in it? How much love is there to give? I tell you, those are the ones that are worthwhile and very rewarding. Invest in those. <3

“Don’t worry about being like someone else. Make the most of who you are, of who God made you to be.

Happy girls do exaggerated head tilts like that photo above à Guess it’s about 35 or 45 degrees tilt! ;p
